Brief review of research line:
My research focuses on the study of past patterns, rates and mechanisms of vegetation and climate change during the Quaternary (the last 2.6 million years). To achieve this objective, I study the remains of vegetal and fossil carbon, the sediments in which they are found and the spatial context in which the study sites are located. This approach allows examining past changes at multiple time scales ranging from decades to tens of thousands of years, with the aim of understanding current biogeographic patterns and paleoenvironmental evolution throughout Andean Patagonia.
