Research Lines

Our research areas are mainly found in the Ornithology and Herpetology group in several topics: Population biology and conservation in migratory species and Antarctic penguins. Population, evolutionary and phylogeographic studies in amphibians. Lately, we have worked on projects related to the study of West Nile virus and avian influenza in native species. At the same time, we have developed what is currently the most complete osteological collection in the country with more than 600 specimens, which has been the basic support for the publication of numerous scientific articles in Paleornithology and Zoo archeology.
